This was filmed during a family vacation to New Mexico. The Sandia Mountains are just East of Albuquerque and crest at 10,678 feet. Once you’re at the top it’s about 30° cooler, but it’s worth the 11,000 square-mile view.
The Sandia Peak Tramway was constructed in 1966 and is the second longest in the world. It’s 2.7 miles long and climbs over 4,000 feet in about 15 minutes.
